Card Scanning Instructions – All Others
To utilize IBT’s card scanning service, an employer or licensing agent needs to obtain the applicant’s fingerprints on a paper fingerprint card (usually done at a local law enforcement agency). The fingerprint card should then be mailed to IBT, where it is converted to a digital format and electronically transmitted to the appropriate channeling agency. Background check results will be sent directly to the employer or licensing agency.
If this is the first time your organization has used our Card Scanning service, please have your employer or licensing agent contact IBT’s billing department at 1-800-315-4507, option 1, option 8 to establish an account.
