General Statement of Duties:
Design and develop custom biometric electronics.

Essential Functions:

  • Reading design specifications and technical drawings
  • Identifying customer requirements
  • Designing systems and products
  • Researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales
  • Making models and prototypes of products and liasing with colleagues and other contractors on the design team
  • Designing & conducting tests and recording, analyzing and interpreting test data
  • Qualifying the final product or system
  • Preparing product documentation, writing reports and giving presentations
  • Monitoring a product in use to improve on future revisions of the design
  • Develop products from concept to completion if project allows

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have effective communication and organizational skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects is essential.
  • Good leadership and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to apply engineering theories, concepts and principles.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 2 years related experience, or a combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position.
